No Man Is An Island mix

It’s awful being alone sometimes, that feeling of FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK panic.

But that’s not what this mix is about.
Because sometimes, on rare occasions, it’s pure bliss.
It’s absolutely fucking amazing to be alone.
You. Just you.
Pure, goddamn you.
And it’s necessary to drown out the world in order to enhance this feeling.
Everybody needs a mix to listen to as they do this.

Listen to it when you’re riding your bike alone through the streets.
When you’re alone on the bus, headphones in, with your eyes closed and your head resting on the window.
When you’re walking home and the night air tastes so sweet.
When you’re glad no one can see your eyes behind your sunglasses as you walk with eyes closed, seeing how far you can get without running into something.
When you look up at the stars and take a deep, deep breath and realize you need to enjoy the simple pleasures more often.
When you feel like you’ve been sitting, staring into the horizon for what feels like forever.
When you’ve been alone long enough that you can’t remember the last word you said out loud.
When you just need a break, a pause, a time to feel completely at ease in your own private moment.

1. Hey Momma’ - Kay Kay And His Weathered Underground
2. All Your Light (Times Like These) - Portugal. The Man
3. Never Meant - American Football
4. Blanket Of Ghosts - Dustin Kensrue
5. You Were A House On Fire - Listener

I’m only making it a 5 song mix because I want you to add your own songs to it.
Think of this as a stepping stone, not a bridge.
Feel free to let me know what songs you added, I’d like to listen to them also.

I don’t know if there’s any point to it at all, but I sure love hearing your voice.

I always knew looking back on my tears would bring me laughter, but I never knew looking back on my laughter would make me cry.
